Meet the Sacramento Team Behind Sutton ADU Sacramento
Every ADU, room addition, and home addition we build in Sacramento carries a name, and it isn’t just the company’s. It’s the person who framed the walls, the coordinator who kept the permit moving through the city, the installer who got the siding right on a Hot August afternoon. The crew that shows up at your house is the company. So we’d rather you know who’s coming. These are the people running your project in Sacramento right now, and one thing binds all of us: the work doesn’t get called done until it’s done right, at the price we put in writing before a single board was cut.
Our People

Ben C. – Lead Technician, Detached ADU Construction
Ben has been building accessory dwelling units in the Sacramento Valley for eleven years, starting on production framing crews in Rancho Cordova before moving into full-package ADU builds. He’s certified in James Hardie cladding installation and has run more than forty detached ADU projects, most of them on the standard 500 to 750 square foot footprint. He’s the one who walks the lot with you and points out the grading issue before it becomes a foundation bill. Ben keeps a hardbound notebook of every lot he’s ever worked, with soil notes and drainage observations going back years. Ask him about the River Park project where the original soil report missed a clay pocket. He’ll tell you the whole story and what it saved the homeowner because someone bothered to look.
Marisol G. – Senior Installer, Prefab and Modular ADU Systems
Marisol handles the prefab and modular side of our Sacramento work: Abodu, Cover, Dvele, Mighty Buildings, and Boxabl units. She’s factory-trained through multiple product-line install programs and has done over twenty panel and module sets in Sacramento County alone. What makes her exceptional is the interface work: connecting factory-built modules to site-built foundations, tying in utilities, and making sure the factory specs actually hold up against Sacramento’s heat swings. She’s also the person most likely to catch a shipping-damage issue before it becomes your problem. Marisol grew up in a construction family in south Sacramento and has been on job sites since she was fifteen. She keeps a torque wrench in her truck that belonged to her father.
Danny M. – Service Coordinator, Sacramento Projects
Danny is the voice on the phone when you call about permits, scheduling, inspections, or just to ask where things stand. He’s worked in Sacramento residential construction coordination for eight years and knows the city’s permitting process well enough to tell you, realistically, what to expect: which corrections get returned, what the inspectors in your zone tend to flag, and how to sequence the work so you’re not paying a crew to stand around waiting on a sign-off. Before Sutton, Danny coordinated kitchen and bath remodels throughout the greater Sacramento area, so he understands old houses: the cast iron, the questionable wiring, the foundation surprises. He grew up in Tahoe Park and still plays pickup basketball at McClatchy Park on Saturdays. If your ADU project has a moving part, Danny’s the one keeping it pointed in the right direction.
Elena R. – Apprentice, ADU and Home Addition Install
Elena is the newest member of the Sacramento crew, now two years into a structured apprenticeship focused on ADU framing, weatherproofing, and exterior finish work. She’s completed her OSHA 30 and works under Ben on detached unit builds, handling layout, flashing, and housewrap before the cladding goes on. The threshold detail is one of her specialties: making the transition from the main house to the new structure clean, level, and sealed properly against Sacramento’s wet winters. Elena studied construction technology at Sacramento City College before joining the team. She’s methodical in a way that old-timers notice, and she asks questions until the detail is clear, not because she doubts the plan but because she wants the result to be boringly correct.
One Standard, Every Job
What holds this Sacramento crew together isn’t talent, though there’s plenty of it. It’s the Threshold Standard, and it applies to every project we take on: a written price before any work begins, a 365-Day Done Right Promise covering workmanship for a full calendar year from project completion, and a free second visit if any element of the build fails. That promise is written into every project, not offered as a verbal afterthought. The people on this page are the ones who honor it. Before anyone from this team arrives at your home, you get their name and photo. They show up in uniform, they show a photo ID badge at the door, and they answer your questions without the brush-off. We built the standard so no one in the field has to improvise. And we built this team so no homeowner has to wonder who’s actually doing the work.
Work With a Team You’ll Recognize on Your Own Street

The ADU on your Sacramento lot is a project with a lot of moving pieces: design, site work, permits, systems, finish. The people who manage those pieces matter. We think you should know who they are before they walk your lot. So call us at (279) 300-1690 and talk to Danny. Ask for a site visit with Ben or Marisol. You’ll get a straight answer, a written price, and a team with names and faces you’ll actually remember. Sacramento is full of lots with room to grow. Yours is one of them, and these are the people who’ll build it right.
